Best Christmas Scarf !

With Christmas being just a few days away, I wanted to share with you my favorite scarf of the season! If anyone is a little last minute on this holiday outfits and want something festive, accessories are the best way to go!
I bought this scarf from Nordstrom and have been wearing it nonstop to put myself in a little more of the Christmas spirit! It goes with so much and the plaid colors are the perfect subtle holiday look. It just adds a little something special to a neutral outfit! Also, it hides the after holiday food baby very well! LOL
Is everyone done their shopping? I just have to wrap and go grocery shopping!
What are your plans for Christmas? We'd love to hear them and any other advice on looking your best during the holidays.

Whole 30 Approved Emergency Food

(some of them can be stocking stuffers for the foodie in your life!)

I don’t know about you ladies and gents, but this girl HATES being caught HANGRY.  I remember when I was introduced to that word in college and how it encompassed my exact feelings when I was way passed a meal time.  Running from class to clinicals to meetings and rehearsals…no wonder I was having that hangry feeling so much!  I wish I was introduced to the Whole30 back then because I would’ve been a CHAMP at NOT being hangry!  Anyways, I’m so glad I never go hangry anymore thanks to these amazing whole foods and products! *

First off, whenever possible, you should have a nice balanced meal already packed (pat yourself on the back for that meal prep you did earlier in the week!) for work, etc.  Enter real world situation…you were crunched for time, you were just feeling lazy, or you haven’t gone food shopping for wayyyy too long.  You might be able to find something healthy and filling in your work cafeteria or across the street, but if you can’t or you’re on-the-go and just need something to hold you over until your meal later on you want to make sure you have these staples stashed in your purse backpack, car, snack drawer at work, locker, etc.!  A mix of protein and fats is best to keep you full for a longer period of time.  Take a look at some of these options below!  I like mixing my fruit with almond butter and eating an avocado with a hard boiled egg, too!  Just a few ideas!

*Disclaimer: we are not sponsored by any of these brands, we just love them!

Stocking Stuffers - $25 and Under !!

The holiday season is upon us and sometimes the hardest gifts to find are those small last minute stocking stuffers! However, both Nordstrom and Ulta have really great options for $25 or under!
Some of these I really love and hope Santa see's these for my own stocking!

The first thing on my list is the Tarte Tartelette Tease Clay Eyeshadow Palette. I have Tarte's other eyeshadow palette but this one is so cute and the colors are great! The colors are so pigmented and long-lasting. A great buy!

The next item are these adorable Fuzzy Socks !! Who doesn't love fuzzy socks?! They are my go-to when I am just lounging on my couch. These come in a two-pack and are oh so soft!

The third item is this Plaid Infinity Scarf ! The colors just scream the holidays and wintertime. It is the perfect addition to any outfit!

Next, how adorable its this OPI Breakfast at Tiffany's Mini Set of Nail Polish ! The colors are so great for winter and makes such a cute little stocking stuffer.

This Still Bright and Bold Lipstick set has just some really fabulous colors! Also, their lipstick literally lasts all day! Such great quality for the price.

Finally, the Eye Mask makes the perfect gift for that special someone who just loves to lounge in bed all day! They have so many different colors and patterns, I just loved the snowflake one!

I can't believe tomorrow is already Thanksgiving! I can't wait to eat all the mashed potatoes and then go Black Friday shopping!

What are your Thanksgiving Day plans? Anyone planning on Black Friday shopping?

Holiday Gift Guide: Mom

I don't know about you, but my mom is one of my best friends. Therefore, during the Holidays she definitely gets a little spoiled. But, she spoiled me for a long time too, so she deserves it! I put together this Holiday Gift Guide to give everyone some ideas how to spoil your own mom!

The first product on my list is Benefit's Boi-ing Industrial Strength-Concealor! My mom and I are obsessed with this product and talk about how great it is all the time.
I love giving my mom make-up for the holidays. Creating her own little make-up bag is so fun and helps keep my mom looking and feeling young! My mom always comes in my room to steal my make-up anyway, might has well give her what she likes!

The second product on my list the Redken Color Extend Kit from Ulta. My mom LOVES Redken products and this one is her favorite because she gets her hair highlighted. It smells just like the salon and makes her hair so soft! Plus, this kit is just too cute to pass up!

The next product on my list are Ugg Classic II Boots. My mom is an Ugg fanatic because they offer so much support and are oh so comfy. I tease her all the time because she always claims she needs new ones. However, they are really comfortable and she does wear them all the time in the winter months.

The next product on my list is Philosophy's "Grace for the Holidays" Set. I always think moms in general need a little push to pamper themselves. So I try to help my mom and give her a reason to pamper herself. Philosophy in general has a lot of really great products and they smell and feel so great!

The last product on my list is this beautiful S'well Water Bottle. I recently just purchased myself one and my mom is always drinking from it! So I told her I was going to get her one for Christmas.

Any one have any other ideas for their moms? I would love to hear your ideas!

Stay tuned for more gift guides!

Bra-blems and How to Fix Them!

People say beauty comes from within, and I think the same thing goes for fashion. We can have a beautiful dress on, but without the right undergarments underneath, the outfit falls short. We must be comfortable and well situated underneath of all those fabulous clothes in order for them to look and feel beautiful.

I am partnering with ThirdLove to share with you some of my “bra-blems” and some methods on how to fix them!

One problem that I have constantly is slipping out of my bra. I find myself having to re-adjust the cups in my bra, which is never an attractive site. However, I have recently discovered that sizing up in the cup size and down on the band size can eliminate this problem! What a simple and easy fix!

Another problem is slippery straps. I feel like am I ALWAYS adjusting them because they’re never just right. Did you know they stretch?! For some reason I found that to be an eye-opening fact. I should have known this, but never thought about it. However, yet another simple fix: tighten your straps once a month. This will help alleviate the slippery straps. If that doesn’t work: try a bra with a narrower strap like the Full Coverage, Semi, or Convertible Bras from ThirdLove

For other solutions and common “bra-blems” check out the image below! AND because we want everyone to have the perfect fit and bra, when shopping at ThirdLove use our special promo code at check-out for a discount on your purchase: TLNOVBB15

These bras are GORGEOUS and have the most amazing fit.

Share some of your bra-blems in the comments section and maybe together, we can find a solution to keep us all beautiful on the inside and out

Staples to Succeed your Whole30

Good morning, friends!  Anyone start the September Whole30 that I wrote about on my previous post?  Anyone new to Whole30 and feeling a little overwhelmed with the meal prep?  Well, this is the post for you!  Everyone is busy.  Melissa and Dallas Hartwig took that fact into account when writing It Starts with Food.  They also threw in some tough love too-being busy is not an excuse, especially when it comes to your health!  Below, I took pictures of some of my staples when it comes to grocery shopping!  A lot of the food can be frozen and used for later which is key when you find you're running low on compliant food!

The top picture shows my staple proteins!  The Spicy Italian Chicken Sausage from Trader Joe's is one of the only compliant Chicken Sausages that they sell (always check your labels!).  The Chili Lime Chicken Burger and the Grass Fed Angus Beef Burgers are also from Trader Joe's!  All you have to do is throw them on the stove or the grill and you're good to go in a few minutes!  The Applegate Beef Hot Dogs are so good and can be found in most grocery stores.  Aidell's Apple Chicken Sausage (not shown) is another compliant sausage that is found in most grocery stores too.  Another brand I love that has more compliant options is Billinski's!  These are found at Whole Foods!
The picture on the bottom is just some produce I pick up!  That package above the strawberries is Trader Joe's Cauliflower Rice!  This can also be frozen and taken out when ready to use!  Stock up on these when you go to TJ's because they go fast!  They are so convenient if you need an extra side or if you want to make a mean stir fry without the rice!

Lastly, these bad boys are my go-to condiments!  I first heard of Red Boat Fish Sauce from Michelle Tam over at!  It sounds a little fishy (no pun intended!), but once you try it you'll love it!  I add it to veggies that I'm sauteing or as part of a stir fry!  Coconut aminos (the last one on the right) is a great substitute for soy sauce and can also be added into that stir fry mix or just some steamed veggies and shrimp!  They can both be found at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods!  Tessemae's ( is a wonderful Whole30 compliant brand of dressings and sauces including ketchup, BBQ sauce and Hot sauce!  They can be found at their website or Whole Foods!  The Mayo in the middle is Primal Kitchen (!  They also have avocado oil, dressings and a new Chipotle Lime Mayo that is a flavor explosion!  Add this to your tuna salad, chicken salad or smear it all over your burgers!

Let us know if you try any of these or have any other questions about surviving your Whole30!

What is Whole30?

When broken down simply, Whole30 is just that- Whole (foods) for 30 (days)!  Different foods affect different people in different ways (kind of a no-brainer, right?)!  Have you ever felt bloated or just flat out crappy after  having ice cream or a carb-overloaded meal?  Or what exactly caused that upset stomach and that feeling of lethargy?  This is your body's response to digesting the various nutrients (macro, micro, or lack-there-of) in any given food.  How do you know exactly what is affecting you in what way?  You don't and you won't until you "strip [certain foods] from your diet completely.  Cut out all the psychologically unhealthy, hormone-unbalancing, gut-disrupting, inflammatory food groups for a full 30 days.  Let your body heal and recover from whatever effects those foods may be causing. Push the “reset” button with your metabolism, systemic inflammation, and the downstream effects of the food choices you’ve been making.  Learn once and for all how the foods you’ve been eating are actually affecting your day to day life, and your long term health ("

The Whole30 Program is so much more than a physical transformation, though!  It also focuses on the mental and emotional impact that food can have on people.  I can't say that I wasn't happy in the photo on the left (I mean check out that smile!)...I was in college studying what I wanted, hanging out with my friends and involved in all of my favorite extracurricular activities!  I can tell you though that I wasn't nourishing my body; I wasn't treating it well and I felt the effects- not sleeping well, feeling lazy and bogged down, etc., etc.!  The woman on the right can make the right food choices for HER body and feels amazing about the things I can accomplish with it!  And that, my friends, is the greatest feeling in the world.

If this is the kind of change you think you're ready for, please check out the link below for the official program rules and how to join in on the September Whole30!

My Favorite T-Shirt Dress

I am sure you guys have seen me post this dress from ASOS on our first blog post and in a couple Instagrams, but I simply cannot get over it! It is the most comfortable and lightweight t-shirt dress. I have it in three colors and I want more! It pairs so well with sandals for the summer and boots and a blanket scarf for fall! It is an all-season piece depending on how you style it!

Also, that tassel necklace! I wear it all the time, and its from Target! Such a neutral piece that adds a little bit of flair to any outfit.

I am winding down my last few weeks of summer vacation, so not looking forward to going back to work and waking up early! I am not a huge morning person. Any suggestions to help get back into the groove of waking up early?

Friday Instagram Round-up

Happy Friday!

Talia here with a Friday Fashion Round-up! I have been obsessed with swing dresses and t-shirt dresses this summer. It has been such a long heat wave, that wearing something simple, effortless, and cool has been a must. These are just two of my favorite dresses! I love the burgundy color and the grey t-shirt dress is just a must-have! Also, as per usual, these dresses will perfectly transition into my fall wardrobe with boots and scarves.  Can't wait to style them, but for right now my sandals will have to do!

Another outfit that I wear constantly is this t-shirt and shorts combo. The t-shirt is so light-weight and the color is one of my favorites. I also, love how the necklace compliments the green color! I'm not usually a t-shirt person, but the way this one fits and feels makes me want to wear it everyday!

Finally, I have a confession. I am a slightly over-organized neurotic person. So whenever I travel even it just for a night, a week, a weekend, I go insane if my suitcase is organized and packed correctly. It took me so long to find cases that I liked using, weren't terrible looking, and really organized all the products I use daily. On the left, is a travel case which perfectly fits my face-wash, my deodorant, my perfume, and lotions! It even hangs up nicely so you can really see what you have packed. On the right, is my jewelry case. This case really made me smile because of how light-weight it was and all the really awesome compartments to keep my jewelry organized and safe! Also, aren't these cases just so cute?!

I am headed to a family BBQ tonight and the shore for the weekend tomorrow! Soaking up the last few beach days before heading back to my life as a teacher! What is every ones plans for the weekend? Are you guys as excited for fall fashion as I am?!
