South Carolina Recap + Instagram Round-Up

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I will be doing a recap of my trip to South Carolina while also linking all my outfits and pictures from Instagram -- along with some other fun pics!

First stop: the airport! We flew into Charlotte, North Carolina because it was a lot cheaper and not a far drive from Charleston - about 3 hours if you stop for Chick-fil-A

I always try to keep my airport looks both comfy and cute! I have been using this Delsey Chatelet Luggage for about two years now and its the perfect carry-on bag. It literally holds everything, including my steamer and three pairs of shoes! Also, travel hack -- put all of the items you need to remove from your carry-on in your purse so you're not standing in line unzipping your suitcase/carry-on! I also try to put things in my purse that I can't fit into my carry-on bag because I am a huge over-packer whenever I travel.

We got to our Airbnb (which I linked below) really late so day one was simply a travel day! Our first official day in Charleston we drove into Sullivan's Island. We stopped for lunch because, getting seven girls ready in the morning was not an easy task, at a place called Mex 1. Their guacamole was unreal. Our drinks were good too, they have house made tequila, just be careful because the spicy margs are definitely spicy!

Next stop was the beach, I wore the cutest and most flattering one piece bathing suit and just relaxed all day with my girls. It was such a relaxing day, which helped to rejuvenate us from our day of travel because we had a fun night planned with dinner and dancing -- such girls weekend staples! LOL

I snapped this pic in the bathroom because it was too dark outside to take a real pic. We went to an Italian restaurant in downtown Charleston for dinner called Le Farfalle -- all the pasta is made on sight which makes it really fresh and delicious. My only complaint was no bread for the table (us girls love our bread!), the wait time for our food to come out after we ordered, and the portion sizes were a little small. It was just so delicious, I wanted more!

After dinner we ubered to a bar called Mynt -- and oh my godddd. I haven't been to a bar like that since college! It was so fun to dance with my girls and the DJ played such good music. However, I needed to shower when we got back because I was so gross and sweaty! So be prepared, especially in the Charleston heat!

Our last day in Charleston we went to Basic Kitchen for brunch! It was so delicious and such a unique menu with a lot of vegan options! I loved their sweet potato fries and nachos! I even added scrambled eggs to my nachos for a more breakfast vibe. So yum and would high recommend.

After brunch we walked around downtown Charleston, shopped a bit, and explored Rainbow Row, the Pineapple Fountain, and just enjoyed the weather. We then drove back to Columbia, where my one friend lives and just hung out and watched Netflix until we left on Monday. It was a perfect weekend with some of my favorite girls. I can't wait to go back!!

What is your favorite thing to do on a girls weekend?! I would love to hear!
